AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Transportation for
2 payments to the Erie Port Commission for the expansion,
3 improvement, maintenance and repair of port facilities for
4 certain purposes.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $1,000,000 is hereby appropriated from
8 the General Fund to the Department of Transportation for payment
9 to the Erie Port Commission of the City of Erie.
10 Section 2. The funds hereby appropriated shall be used for
11 the expansion, improvement, maintenance and repair of the port
12 facilities necessitated by the expected increased usage of such
13 port resulting from the development of the Volkswagen complex at
14 New Stanton, Pennsylvania.
15 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
