AN ACT
1 Providing for the furnishing of State flags to members of the
2 House of Representatives and making an appropriation.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) Upon request, the Chief Clerk of the House of
6 Representatives shall furnish to each member, without cost, five
7 State flags for presentation to local public bodies.
8 (b) For purposes of this act the term "public bodies," shall
9 mean Boy Scout headquarters, Girl Scout headquarters, boys'
10 clubs, girls' clubs, city halls, libraries, school auditoriums,
11 college campuses, hospitals, retirees' clubs, golden agers, and
12 other similar local, civic, fraternal, charitable or religious
13 groups or organizations.
14 Section 2. The sum of $8,000 or as much thereof as may be
15 necessary is hereby appropriated to the Chief Clerk of the House
16 of Representatives to defray the costs of purchasing State
17 flags.
18 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
