        AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON STATE GOVERNMENT, HOUSE OF
           REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, APRIL 13, 1977

                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for the acceptance by the Governor of jurisdiction
     2     relinquished by the United States to the Commonwealth over
     3     lands within the Commonwealth's boundaries.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6  Section 1.  General provisions.
     7     The consent of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hereby
     8  given to the retrocession of partial jurisdiction by the United   <--
     9  States over land within the boundaries of the Commonwealth. The
    10  Governor is hereby authorized to accept for the Commonwealth
    11  such retrocession to concurrent PARTIAL, CONCURRENT, OR           <--
    12  EXCLUSIVE jurisdiction.
    13  Section 2.  Procedure.
    14     Retrocession of jurisdiction shall be effected upon the
    15  completion of the following procedure:
    16         (1)  Written notice shall be filed with the Governor by
    17     the Administrator of Veterans Affairs pursuant to 38 U.S.C. §  <--
    18     5007. THE UNITED STATES, OR ANY DEPARTMENT OR AGENCY THEREOF,  <--

     1     IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE ACTS OF CONGRESS.
     2         (2)  The Governor shall give public notice of
     3     retrocession of jurisdiction by publication in the
     4     Pennsylvania Bulletin.
     5         (3)  Written acceptance shall not be made less than 30
     6     days after public notice of retrocession.
     7  Section 3.  Repeals.
     8     All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with any retrocession
     9  of jurisdiction effectuated in accordance with the provisions of
    10  this act are hereby repealed.
    11  Section 4.  Effective date.
    12     This act shall take effect immediately.
