AN ACT 1 Authorizing the Department of Property and Supplies with the 2 approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation, 3 to sell and convey certain tracts of land together with 4 improvements thereon situate in the City of Philadelphia. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. The Department of Property and Supplies, with the 8 approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation, is 9 hereby authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 10 to sell, at public sale, to the highest bidder and convey the 11 following tracts together with any improvements thereon situate 12 in the City of Philadelphia, in the Commonwealth of 13 Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows: 14 Tract No. 1. 15 All that certain lot or piece of ground with the buildings 16 and improvements thereon erected situate on the corner formed by 17 the intersection of the west side of Third Street with the south 18 side of South Street, in the 2nd Ward of the City of 19 Philadelphia containing in front or breadth on the said Third
1 Street 38 feet and extending of that width in length or depth 2 westward between parallel lines, the north line thereof along 3 the said south side of South Street 41 feet; known as 300-302 4 South Street and 602 South Third Street. 5 Being the same premises acquired by the Commonwealth from 6 Morris Ellner, grantee in deed book CJP 3013, page 261; and 7 Tract No. 2. 8 All that certain lot or piece of ground with the messuage or 9 tenement thereon erected situate on the southerly side of South 10 Street at its intersection with the westerly side of 8th Street 11 in the 2nd Ward of the City of Philadelphia; containing in front 12 or breadth on the said South Street 15 feet and extending in 13 length or depth southward along said 8th Street 57 feet more or 14 less to a certain 3 feet wide alley extending westwardly from 15 the said 8th Street to the extent of 45 feet and at the distance 16 of 80 feet northwardly from the north side of Kater Street, 20 17 feet wide; together with the free use, right, liberty and 18 privilege of the aforesaid 3 feet wide alley as and for a 19 passageway and watercourse and free ingress, egress and regress 20 into, out of and through and along the same at all times 21 hereafter forever, in common with Daniel B. Smith and Margaret 22 M. Smith, their heirs and assigns; known as 800 South Street. 23 Being the same premises acquired by the Commonwealth from 24 Philip Danziger and Ruth Danziger, his wife, grantees in deed 25 book CAB 817, page 23. 26 The conveyances shall be made under and subject to all 27 easements, servitudes and rights of others, including but not 28 confined to streets, roadways, and rights of any telephone, 29 telegraph, water, electric, gas or pipeline companies, as well 30 as under and subject to any estates or tenancies vested in third 19750S0847B0923 - 2 -
1 persons, whether or not appearing of record, for any portion of 2 the land or improvements erected thereon. 3 Section 2. The deeds of conveyance shall be approved by the 4 Department of Justice and shall be executed by the Secretary of 5 Property and Supplies in the name of the Commonwealth of 6 Pennsylvania. 7 Section 3.
