           REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, JULY 1, 1975

                                  A SUPPLEMENT

     1  To the act of                 (P.L.    , No.    ), entitled "An
     2     act to provide for the expenses of the Executive, Legislative
     3     and Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth, the public debt
     4     and for the public schools for the fiscal period July 1, 1975
     5     to June 30, 1976, and for the payment of bills incurred and
     6     remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending
     7     June 30, 1975," itemizing appropriations required from the
     8     Motor License Fund for the proper operation of the several
     9     departments of the Commonwealth authorized to spend Motor
    10     License Fund moneys.

    11     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    12  hereby enacts as follows:
    13     Section 1.  This supplement shall be known and may be cited
    14  as the "Motor License Fund Supplement to the General
    15  Appropriation Act of 1975."
    16     Section 2.  The following sums or as much thereof as may be
    17  necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the Motor
    18  License Fund to the hereinafter named agencies of the
    19  Commonwealth for the payment of salaries, wages and other
    20  compensation and travel expenses of the duly elected or
    21  appointed officers and employees of the Commonwealth, for


     1  contractual services and other expenses necessary for the proper
     2  conduct of the duties, functions and activities for the purposes
     3  hereinafter set forth for the fiscal period beginning July 1,
     4  1975 and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid
     5  at the close of the fiscal period ending June 30, 1975.
     6                To the Department of Transportation
     7     For the salaries, wages and all necessary ex-
     8  penses for the proper administration of the
     9  Department of Transportation, including planning and
    10  research, engineering, right-of-way, highway con-
    11  struction, special projects and services, highway
    12  maintenance, service functions and transportation
    13  safety...........................................   $330,781,000
    14     For payment from the restricted revenue ac-
    15  counts for aviation fuel taxes and airport op-
    16  erations revenue, for aviation operations includ-
    17  ing the operation and maintenance of State-owned
    18  aircraft, payment of general expenses, supplies,
    19  printing and equipment; for the development and
    20  maintenance of State airports and the maintenance
    21  and repair of landing fields, intermediate landing
    22  fields, landing field equipment, beacon sites,
    23  other navigation facilities, and the encouragement
    24  and development of civil aeronautics.............      3,852,000
    25     For rental payments to the State Highway and
    26  Bridge Authority for projects constructed with
    27  funds borrowed by the Authority..................     35,000,000
    28     For payments to municipalities to assist in
    29  maintenance and construction costs of roads in
    30  accordance with the act of June 1, 1956 (P.L.

     1  1944, No.655), relative to the allocation of
     2  highway funds....................................     94,400,000
     3     For payment from the restricted revenue ac-
     4  count for aviation fuel taxes for airport con-
     5  struction and development including encouragement
     6  and development of aeronautics, development of
     7  State airports, assistance to political subdivisions
     8  and municipal authorities in the construction and
     9  improvement of airports and other aeronautical
    10  facilities.......................................      1,550,000
    11     No more shall be expended from this item for
    12  such purpose or any of them than may be required
    13  to match an equal sum contributed by any political
    14  subdivision, or municipality authority of the
    15  Commonwealth or by the Federal Government, or by
    16  a political subdivision or municipality authority
    17  and the Federal Government as provided in the act
    18  of May 2, 1947 (P.L.136, No.56), relating to
    19  Federal aid for airports.
    20                     To the Treasury Department
    21     For the payment of replacement checks issued in
    22  lieu of outstanding checks when presented and to
    23  adjust errors....................................         50,000
    24     For payment of the compensation of the Common-
    25  wealth's Loan and Transfer Agent for services and
    26  expenses in connection with the registration,
    27  transfer and payment of interest on bonds of the
    28  Commonwealth and other services required to be

    16     Section 3.  In addition to the amounts appropriated by this
    17  act, all moneys received from the Federal Government or from any
    18  other source as contributions to or payments for the programs
    19  provided herein shall be paid into the Motor License Fund and
    20  are hereby appropriated out of the Motor License Fund for the
    21  purposes and programs intended.
    22     Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1975.
