AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Trustees of the University of
2 Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
6 necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated to the Trustees
7 of the University of Pennsylvania for the fiscal year July 1,
8 1975 to June 30, 1976, for the purposes and in the amounts as
9 shown:
10 (1) For net cost of instruction excluding
11 Veterinary Medicine Programs and Doctor
12 of Medicine...................................$7,063,000
13 (2) For net cost of student aid................... 3,374,000
14 (3) For net cost of instruction in Veterinary
15 Medicine Programs only........................ 1,973,000
16 (4) For instruction - Doctor of Medicine only..... 2,882,000
17 Section 2. Payments to the University of Pennsylvania on
18 account of the appropriations for all items provided in section
1 1, except Doctor of Medicine only, shall be made on the basis of
2 net costs during the fiscal year. Payments for instruction,
3 Doctor of Medicine only, shall be made on the basis of full-time
4 equivalent student enrollment at the rate of $4,400 per student.
5 Section 3. The university shall provide such information and
6 in such form and manner as the Department of Education may
7 prescribe.
8 Section 4. The University of Pennsylvania shall reports its
9 revenues and expenditures and present its financial statements
10 as required under the provisions of this act in accordance with
11 generally accepted accounting principles and procedures for
12 educational institutions as set forth in the "Industry Audit
13 Guide for Colleges and Universities" of the American Institute
14 of Certified Public Accountants of 1973, without exception.
15 Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1975.
