                                     AN ACT

     1  Making appropriations to the Thomas Jefferson University of
     2     Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  (a) The sum of $3,920,000, or as much thereof as
     6  may be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
     7  Thomas Jefferson University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for
     8  the fiscal period July 1, 1975 to June 30, 1976, for instruction
     9  in the Doctor of Medicine program.
    10     (b)  The sum of $750,000, or as much thereof as may be
    11  necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the Thomas
    12  Jefferson University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the
    13  fiscal period July 1, 1975 to June 30, 1976, for the general
    14  maintenance of the Thomas Jefferson University including the
    15  College of Allied Health Sciences.
    16     Section 2.  Payments to the Thomas Jefferson University of
    17  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on account of the appropriation for
    18  instructions in the Doctor of Medicine program as provided in


     1  subsection (a) of section 1 of this act shall be made on the
     2  basis of full-time student enrollment at the rate of $4,400 per
     3  student.
     4     Section 3.  Payments to the Thomas Jefferson University of
     5  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on account of the appropriation
     6  provided in subsection (b) of section 1 of this act shall be
     7  made on the basis of cost during the fiscal period.
     8     Section 4.  The university shall provide such information and
     9  in such form and manner as the Department of Education may
    10  prescribe.
    11     Section 5.  The Thomas Jefferson University of Philadelphia,
    12  Pennsylvania, shall report its revenues and expenditures and
    13  present its financial statements in accordance with generally
    14  accepted accounting principles and procedures for educational
    15  institutions as set forth in the "Industry Audit Guide for
    16  Colleges and Universities" of the American Institute of
    17  Certified Public Accountants of 1973, without exception.
    18     Section 6.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1975.
