SENATE BILL

        AS RE-REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, AS AMENDED,
           NOVEMBER 25, 1975

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making appropriations to the Trustees of the Hahnemann Medical
     2     College and Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  (a) The sum of $2,983,000, or as much thereof as
     6  may be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
     7  Trustees of the Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia,
     8  Pennsylvania, for its fiscal period July 1, 1975 to June 30,
     9  1976, for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program.
    10     (b)  The sum of $209,000 $433,000, or as much thereof as may   <--
    11  be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
    12  Trustees of the Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia,
    13  Pennsylvania for its fiscal period July 1, 1975 to June 30,
    14  1976, for instruction in the Allied Health, Professions and
    15  Graduate School of the Hahnemann Medical College.
    16     Section 2.  Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College of
    17  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on account of the appropriation for


     1  instruction in the Doctor of Medicine Program as provided in
     2  section 1(a) shall be made on the basis of full-time student
     3  enrollment at the rate of $4,400 per student.
     4     Section 3.  The college shall provide such information and in
     5  such form and manner as the Department of Education may
     6  prescribe.
     7     Section 4.  The Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia,
     8  Pennsylvania, shall report its revenues and expenditures and
     9  present its financial statements in accordance with generally
    10  accepted accounting principles and procedures for educational
    11  institutions as set forth in the "Industry Audit Guide for
    12  Colleges and Universities" of the American Institute of
    13  Certified Public Accountants of 1973, without exception.
    14     Section 5.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1975.
