                                     AN ACT

     1  Relating to the capacity of a married person to sue and be sued.

     2     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     3  hereby enacts as follows:
     4     Section 1.  A married person may sue and be sued civilly, in
     5  all respects and in any form of action, and with the same effect
     6  and results and consequences as an unmarried person.
     7     Section 2.  Sections 3 and 4, act of June 8, 1893 (P.L.344,
     8  No.284), entitled "An act relating to husband and wife,
     9  enlarging her capacity to acquire and dispose of property, to
    10  sue and be sued, and to make a last will, and enabling them to
    11  sue and to testify against each other in certain cases," are
    12  repealed.
    13     Section 3.  The provisions of this act shall not affect any
    14  act done, liability incurred, or right accrued or vested, or
    15  affect any suit or action pending or to be instituted under any
    16  act or part thereof repealed by this act.
    17     Section 4.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
