                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing loans equal to unpaid taxes on real estate of
     2     certain corporations located in school districts, and making
     3     an appropriation.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Whenever a corporation under the jurisdiction of
     7  the State Harness Racing Commission or the State Horse Racing
     8  Commission has become delinquent in the payment of taxes
     9  assessed and levied against its real estate a school district in
    10  the confines of which the real estate is located shall be
    11  entitled to an interest-free loan from the Commonwealth of
    12  Pennsylvania equal in amount to the principal of the delinquent
    13  taxes.
    14     Section 2.  The application for a loan provided for herein
    15  shall be made to the Department of Revenue.
    16     Section 3.  Repayment of a loan made by a school district in
    17  accordance with the provisions of this act shall be made, in
    18  whole or in part, by it concurrent with the obtaining by it of


     1  payment for such delinquent taxes.
     2     Section 4.  The Department of Revenue is authorized to
     3  promulgate rules and regulations for the administration of the
     4  program provided for by this act.
     5     Section 5.  The sum of $1,000,000, or as much thereof as may
     6  be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
     7  Department of Revenue for the fiscal year July 1, 1975 to July
     8  1, 1976 for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this
     9  act.
    10     Section 6.  This act shall take effect immediately.
