AN ACT
1 Requiring notice when a gratuity or service fee is to be imposed
2 upon hotel, motel and restaurant charges.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. No hotel, motel or restaurant shall impose a
6 gratuity or service fee upon its charges unless notice of such
7 an imposition is conspicuously noted on the registration card in
8 the case of hotels and motels and on the menu in the case of
9 restaurants.
10 Section 2. No person shall be liable for the gratuity or
11 service fee referred to in section 1 unless the notation is made
12 as so provided.
13 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
