AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 22, 1931 (P.L.594, No.203), entitled
2 "An act establishing certain township roads as State
3 highways; authorizing their construction, maintenance, and
4 improvement under certain conditions and restrictions;
5 limiting the obligation of the Commonwealth in the
6 construction of certain structures located on such highways;
7 conferring certain powers upon the Department of Highways and
8 local authorities, persons, associations and corporations for
9 sharing the cost of the maintenance and construction of such
10 highways; and making an appropriation to carry out the
11 provisions of said act," amending or deleting routes in
12 Adams, Centre, Indiana, Lycoming, Mercer, Mifflin, Montgomery
13 and Washington Counties.
14 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
15 hereby enacts as follows:
16 Section 1. The following routes in Adams County established
17 by the act of June 22, 1931 (P.L.594, No.203), referred to as
18 the Township State Highway Law, is deleted as follows:

21 [Route 01022. Beginning at a point on the Franklin-Adams
22 County line, in Hamiltonban Township, about one and one-half
23 miles south of Franklin-Hamiltonban Township line; thence to a
1 point in Hamiltonban Township at the Mont Alto Sanatorium
2 Church, in Adams County, a distance of about 0.9 miles.]

4 Section 2. The following routes in Centre County are amended
5 or deleted as follows:

8 Route 14017. Beginning at a point in Benner Township on
9 Route 346 about one mile northeast of Fillmore; thence in a
10 northwesterly, northeasterly, and southern direction, through
11 Benner and Spring Townships to Bellefonte Borough, via Valley
12 View and Coalville, in Centre County, a distance of about [6.75]
13 6.57 miles.

15 [Route 14024. Beginning at a point on Route 27 near Noel's
16 Store, in Pleasant Gap; thence in a northwesterly direction
17 through Spring Township to a point on Route 14025 about .75 of a
18 mile east of Pleasant Gap, in Centre County, a distance of about
19 .75 of a mile.]

22 approximately 0.1 of a mile west of the western borough line of
23 Bellefonte; thence in a westerly direction to an intersection
24 with Route 14017 in Spring Township, Centre County, a distance

7 June 25, 1937 (P.L.2143, No.437), is deleted as follows:

11 of a mile south of Duboistown; thence in a general southerly and
12 southwesterly direction through Armstrong Township, in Lycoming

16 31, 1955 (P.L.1881, No.625), is amended to read:

20 miles north of the intersection of Route 43008 and Route 74;

23 of the intersection of Route 43091 and Route 320], in Mercer
24 County, a distance of about [1.15 miles] 0.08 mile.

15 about .3 of a mile to a point of road intersection; thence
16 southeasterly through Lower Salford Township to a point of road
17 intersection about .8 of a mile southwest of Route 198 and about
18 .3 of a mile northwest of the Lower Salford-Towamencin Township
19 line; thence northeasterly to a point on Route 198 near Station
20 435 and near Mainland Post Office, in Montgomery County, a
21 distance of about 3.4 miles.]

23 Section 8. The following routes in Washington County
24 established by the act are deleted in whole or in part as
25 follows:

4 Route 62035. Beginning at [township line between Hopewell
5 and Cross Creek Townships] the intersection of L.R.545; thence
6 northerly through Cross Creek and Smith Townships, via Rea and
7 Nosgo School, to [county concrete road] the intersection of
8 L.R.62185 near Atlasburg, in Washington County, a distance of
9 about [6.5] 4.84 miles.

11 [Route 62133. Beginning at State Route 545 near West
12 Middletown Station; thence in a southeasterly direction to an
13 intersection with Route 62022 about one-half mile northeast of
14 West Middletown, in Washington County, a distance of about 1.5
15 miles.]

17 Section 9. On and after the effective date of this act,
18 those portions of routes 62022, 62035 and 62133 deleted in whole
19 or in part by section 8, shall be maintained, constructed and
20 reconstructed, including all structures, by Washington County.
21 Such routes or portions of routes shall revert to Washington
22 County in their existing condition.
23 Section 10. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
