AN ACT
1 Repealing the act of May 18, 1949 (P.L.1451, No.428), entitled
2 "An act authorizing the issue and sale of bonds by the
3 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the payment of compensation
4 to certain veterans; creating a special fund in the State
5 Treasury to be known as the World War II Veterans'
6 Compensation Fund; defining the powers and duties of the
7 Governor, the Auditor General, the State Treasurer, and the
8 Board of Finance and Revenue in relation thereto; and
9 providing for the payment of interest on and the redemption
10 and refunding of such bonds; and making an appropriation,"
11 transferring funds from the World War II Veterans'
12 Compensation Fund into the General Fund.
13 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
14 hereby enacts as follows:
15 Section 1. The act of May 18, 1949 (P.L.1451, No.428),
16 entitled "An act authorizing the issue and sale of bonds by the
17 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the payment of compensation to
18 certain veterans; creating a special fund in the State Treasury
19 to be known as the World War II Veterans' Compensation Fund;
20 defining the powers and duties of the Governor, the Auditor
21 General, the State Treasurer, and the Board of Finance and
22 Revenue in relation thereto; and providing for the payment of
23 interest on and the redemption and refunding of such bonds; and
1 making an appropriation," is repealed.
2 Section 2. All funds in the World War II Veterans'
3 Compensation Fund are transferred to the General Fund.
4 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
