                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing the Department of Commerce to guarantee the
     2     repayment of principal and interest on certain loans.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows
     5     Section 1.  The Department of Commerce is authorized to
     6  guarantee the repayment of principal and interest on loans of
     7  any type made to municipalities or groups of municipalities for
     8  the planning, construction, and operation of demonstration
     9  plants and facilities for the processing of solid, liquid, and
    10  gaseous wastes into usable and salable products consisting of
    11  solid, liquid or gaseous fuels and possible electrical energy.
    12     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
