AN ACT
1 Regulating the contractual powers of individuals serving in
2 STATE OR STATE AGENCIES AND local political subdivision <--
3 positions.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Any individual who holds an appointive office in
7 THE COMMONWEALTH OR ANY OF ITS AGENCIES OR IN a political <--
8 subdivision of this Commonwealth shall not have an interest,
9 RESPECTIVELY, in any contract or construction in which the <--
10 COMMONWEALTH OR ITS AGENCIES OR political subdivision, <--
11 RESPECTIVELY, shall enter or have an interest. <--
12 Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be
13 barred for a period of five years from engaging in any business
14 or contract with any political subdivision of this Commonwealth.
15 For purposes of this section the term "interest" shall not
16 include the ownership of shares of stock in any corporation in
17 an amount of 5% or less of the total issue for said corporation.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in six months.
