                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 24, 1931 (P.L.1206, No.331), entitled
     2     "An act concerning townships of the first class; amending,
     3     revising, consolidating, and changing the law relating
     4     thereto," authorizing certain fire companies, rescue
     5     companies, and ambulance companies to purchase petroleum
     6     products by way of purchase contracts for same by the
     7     township.

     8     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     9  hereby enacts as follows:
    10     Section 1.  The act of June 24, 1931 (P.L.1206, No.331),
    11  known as "The First Class Township Code," reenacted and amended
    12  May 27, 1949 (P.L.1955, No.569), is amended by adding a section
    13  to read:
    14     Section 1804.1.  Purchase Contracts for Petroleum Products;
    15  Fire Company, Etc., Participation.--The board of commissioners
    16  of each township shall have power to permit, subject to such
    17  terms and conditions as it may, and as hereinafter specifically
    18  provided, shall, prescribe any fire company, rescue company and
    19  ambulance company in the township to participate in purchase
    20  contracts for petroleum products entered into by the township.


     1  Any such company desiring to participate in such purchase
     2  contracts shall file with the township secretary a request that
     3  it be authorized to participate in contracts for the purchase of
     4  petroleum products of the township and agreeing that it will be
     5  bound by such terms and conditions as the township may, and as
     6  hereinafter specifically provided, shall, prescribe and that it
     7  will be responsible for payment directly to the vendor under
     8  each purchase contract. Among such terms and conditions, the
     9  township shall prescribe that all prices shall be F.O.B.
    10  destination.
    11     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
