AN ACT
1 Providing for roll-back rebate and freeze of certain public
2 utility rates and suspending certain laws in connection with
3 fixing such rates.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. The rates of all private public utilities
7 furnishing electricity to the public shall be rolled back to the
8 level of rates in effect on January 1, 1974 and remain at such
9 level until November 30, 1976.
10 Section 2. Every such public utility shall refund to each of
11 its consumers all of the rate increases charged them since
12 January 1, 1974 until the effective date of this act.
13 Section 3. The "Public Utility Law" provisions as to rates
14 and rate-making for private electricity-furnishing public
15 utilities are suspended temporarily until November 30, 1976.
16 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
