In the House of Representatives, June 13, 1972

Recently it has been proposed that the State liquor store
system be done away with and the sale of liquor be carried on by
private enterprise. Over the years the State store system has
proved itself both economical for the consumer and an excellent
source of revenue for the Commonwealth; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vote to retain the present State
 liquor store system.
