AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30), entitled "An act
2 relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," authorizing private schools to
6 participate with public schools in post-season athletic <--
7 events. BE MEMBERS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA INTERSCHOLASTIC <--
8 ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. Section 511, act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30),
12 known as the "Public School Code of 1949," is amended by adding
13 a subsection to read:
14 Section 511. School Athletics, Publications, and
15 Organizations.--

17 (b.1) Private schools shall be permitted, if OTHERWISE <--
18 qualified, to participate in post-season athletic contests with <--
19 public schools. BE MEMBERS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA INTERSCHOLASTIC <--
