                     Report of the Committee of Conference

        To the Members of the Senate and House of Representatives:

           We, the undersigned, Committee of Conference on the part of
        the Senate and House of Representatives for the purpose of
        considering House Bill No. 1716, entitled:
        "An act authorizing and directing the Department of Property and
        Supplies with the approval of the Department of Transportation
        to sell and convey a certain lot or tract of ground with
        improvements thereon located in the Borough of Yardley, County
        of Bucks, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to the Borough of
        Yardley, Pennsylvania."

                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of Property and
     2     Supplies with the approval of the Department of
     3     Transportation to sell and convey a certain lot or tract of
     4     ground with improvements thereon located in the Borough of
     5     Yardley, County of Bucks, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to
     6     the Borough of Yardley, Pennsylvania.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  The Department of Property and Supplies, with the
    10  approval of the Department of Transportation, is hereby
    11  authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to
    12  sell and convey to the Borough of Yardley, County of Bucks,
    13  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for a consideration of one dollar
    14  ($1) the following described tract of land with any improvements
    15  thereon, situate in the Borough of Yardley, County of Bucks, and
    16  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the southwest corner of the
    17  intersection of Pennsylvania Route 32 (River Road) and
    18  Pennsylvania Route 432 (Yardley-Newtown Road) and further
    19  identified as follows:
    20     All that certain tract of land, situate in the Borough of
    21  Yardley, County of Bucks, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, bounded
    22  and described as follows:
    23     Beginning at an iron bolt in East Afton Avenue, said bolt
    24  being in the boundary between lands of the Yardleyville-Delaware
    25  Bridge Company and the southeasterly boundary of lands owned by
    26  Thomas Cryne; thence (1) along East Afton Avenue and along
    27  boundary of lands owned by the Yardleyville-Delaware Bridge
    28  Company and said Thomas Cryne, north thirty degrees forty-seven
    29  minutes east, ninety-one and seven-tenths feet, to an iron pipe,
    30  located about four feet from the southerly face of the coal
    31  house belonging to the Yardleyville-Delaware Bridge Company;

     1  thence (2) along said Thomas Cryne's lands north sixty-four
     2  degrees fifty-seven minutes west, fifteen and four-tenths feet
     3  to corner; thence (3) still along said Thomas Cryne's lands
     4  north fifteen degrees thirty-eight minutes west, seventy-two and
     5  seven-tenths feet, more or less, to the low water mark of the
     6  Delaware River, thence (4) southeasterly along the low waterline
     7  of the Delaware River, two hundred eighty-one feet, more or less
     8  to the southerly boundary of lands owned by the Yardleyville-
     9  Delaware Bridge Company; thence (5) along the southerly boundary
    10  of lands owned by the Yardleyville-Delaware Bridge Company,
    11  south thirty-four degrees fifty minutes west, one hundred
    12  seventy-four and nine-tenths feet, more or less, to an iron
    13  pipe, thence (6) along the southwesterly boundary of lands owned
    14  by the Yardleyville-Delaware Bridge Company, north fifty-eight
    15  degrees fifty-eight minutes west, one hundred ninety-seven, and
    16  six-tenths feet, to place of beginning, containing 0.818 acre,
    17  more or less, as shown on the attached map, which is made a part
    18  hereof.
    19     The above described land includes (1) that tract conveyed by
    20  George Justice, Executor of Harriet W. Longshore to the
    21  Yardleyville-Delaware Bridge Company by deed dated October 10,
    22  1893 and recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds in and
    23  for Bucks County in Deed Book 264, Page 457, (2) that tract of
    24  land conveyed by Thomas Cryne to the Yardley-Delaware Bridge
    25  Company by deed dated the 20th day of November, 1922, not yet
    26  recorded, and (3) that tract of land, title of which is in the
    27  Estate of Harriet W. Longshore, shown by her Will dated February
    28  28, 1885 and registered in Bucks County Will Book 17, page 167.
    29     Should the tract be taken by condemnation for highway
    30  improvements, the Department of Transportation shall not be

     1  liable for damages for the land as a result of taking all or
     2  part of the tract.
     3     The conveyance shall be made under and subject to all title
     4  restrictions of record at the time of the enactment of this act
     5  and further the grantee herein accepts this conveyance subject
     6  to the limitation that the tract herein described shall be used
     7  solely for a public purpose and in the event that the said
     8  public purpose is no longer exercised title shall immediately
     9  revert to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    10     Section 2.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved by the
    11  Department of Justice and shall be executed by the Secretary of
    12  Property and Supplies in the name of the Commonwealth of
    13  Pennsylvania.
    14     Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
