                                     AN ACT

     1  Requiring notification to the natural parents or parent of a
     2     child placed voluntarily under foster care whenever such
     3     child is admitted to a hospital in certain cases.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Whenever any child, voluntarily placed under
     7  foster care by the natural parent or parents, is admitted to a
     8  hospital while under such foster care, it shall be the duty of
     9  the admitting hospital to notify the natural parents or parent
    10  of such child of such admission, unless, in the opinion of the
    11  medical consultant, such disclosure would be detrimental to the
    12  mental stability of the natural parents or parent.
