SENATE BILL

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for deputy Game Commission
     3     officers.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 902 of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 902.  Deputy Game Commission officers.
     9     Except for the powers conferred under section 901(a)(12.1),
    10  (17) and (18) (relating to powers and duties of enforcement
    11  officers), deputy Game Commission officers shall, unless further
    12  restricted by the director, exercise all the powers and perform
    13  all the duties conferred by this title on Game Commission
    14  officers, except deputy wildlife conservation officers shall not
    15  be authorized to exercise the powers conferred under section
    16  901(a)(2), (6), (7) and (8) unless a warrant has been issued by
    17  a court of competent jurisdiction or the deputy Game Commission
    18  officer is physically accompanied by a Game Commission officer,

     1  nor shall a deputy Game Commission officer be authorized to
     2  issue citations or field acknowledgments of guilt for violations
     3  and shall provide the information to the wildlife conservation
     4  officer. Retired wildlife conservation officers, retired
     5  waterways conservation officers, State park rangers, State
     6  forest rangers or current or retired State or municipal police
     7  officers shall exercise all powers and duties conferred on
     8  deputy Game Commission officers, including the right to issue
     9  citations and field acknowledgments of guilt for violations.
    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
