                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for grounds for a new trial when a judge makes certain
     2     remarks to the jury.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Whenever a judge summerizes the testimony of
     6  witnesses for the benefit of the jury without the consent of all
     7  the attorneys involved in the case, the defendant in a criminal
     8  action and the aggrieved party in a civil action shall be
     9  entitled to a new trial.
