AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 30, 1971 (Appropriation Act No. 9-A),
2 entitled "An act making an appropriation to the State
3 Treasurer for the purposes of paying salaries and wages of
4 State officers and employes and expenses from the Motor
5 License Fund in the interim between June 30, 1971 and August
6 1, 1971, or such time as funds provided by appropriation acts
7 become available," changing the period and amount.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. The title and section 1, act of June 30, 1971
11 (Appropriation Act No. 9-A), entitled "An act making an
12 appropriation to the State Treasurer for the purposes of paying
13 salaries and wages of State officers and employes and expenses
14 from the Motor License Fund in the interim between June 30, 1971
15 and August 1, 1971, or such time as funds provided by
16 appropriation acts become available," are amended to read:
17 AN ACT
18 Making an appropriation to the State Treasurer for the purposes
19 of paying salaries and wages of State officers and employes
20 and expenses from the Motor License Fund in the interim
1 between June 30, 1971 and [August] September 1, 1971, or such
2 time as funds provided by appropriation acts become
3 available.
4 Section 1. The sum of [forty-five million dollars
5 ($45,000,000),] one hundred twenty-five million dollars
6 ($125,000,000), or as much thereof as may be necessary, is
7 hereby specifically appropriated from the Motor License Fund to
8 the State Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the
9 purpose of paying the salaries and wages of the officers and
10 employes and other expenses of the State government in the
11 interim between June 30, 1971 and [August] September 1, 1971, or
12 such time as moneys appropriated by appropriation acts of 1971-
13 1972 may become available for such purposes; and for the payment
14 of bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the
15 fiscal year ending June 30, 1971.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
