AN ACT
1 Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for the administrative duties of
3 the Public School Employees' Retirement Board.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8502 of Title 24 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 8502. Administrative duties of board.

10 (q) Credit for first class county employment.--A former
11 employee of a first class county who is employed by a public
12 school district of a first class county shall have credited to
13 the employee's employment record, for retirement benefits, all
14 time spent by the employee in the employ of the county when:
15 (1) The employee contributes to the retirement fund the
16 total amount of employee accumulated deductions withdrawn
17 from the county pension fund.
18 (2) The county pension fund officials transfer, within
1 30 days of receipt of a written request from the Public
2 School Employees' Retirement System, the total amount of
3 employer contributions and the interest on these
4 contributions.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
