AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, repealing FURTHER <--
3 PROVIDING FOR Access to Justice Act expiration provision.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4907 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 [§ 4907. Expiration of chapter. <--
9 This chapter shall expire in [five] TEN years.] AT LEAST ONE <--
10 YEAR PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF THIS CHAPTER THE LEGISLATIVE
11 BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE SHALL CONDUCT AND SUBMIT TO THE
12 GENERAL ASSEMBLY A PERFORMANCE AUDIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
13 DETERMINING WHETHER THERE IS A CONTINUING JUSTIFICATION FOR THE
14 ACTIVITIES AND LEVEL OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROVIDED FOR UNDER
15 THIS CHAPTER.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
