AN ACT
1 Reestablishing the State Athletic Commission which is scheduled
2 for termination under the Sunset Act.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Reestablishment of State Athletic Commission.
6 (a) General rule.--The State Athletic Commission scheduled
7 for termination under section 6 of the act of December 22, 1981
8 (P.L.508, No.142), known as the Sunset Act, is reestablished.
9 (b) Future evaluation, review and termination.--The State
10 Athletic Commission is subject to evaluation, review and
11 termination within the time and in the manner provided in the
12 Sunset Act.
13 (c) Compliance with requirements to reestablish agency.--
14 This act, with respect to the State Athletic Commission,
15 constitutes the legislation required to reestablish an agency
16 under the Sunset Act.
17 Section 2. Retroactivity.
18 This act shall apply retroactively to December 31, 1988.

2 This act shall take effect immediately.
