                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the
     3     administrative duties of the State Employees' Retirement
     4     Board.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 5902 of Title 71 of the Pennsylvania
     8  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding subsections to read:
     9  § 5902.  Administrative duties of the board.
    10     * * *
    11     (a.1)  Managers.--The board may, subject to the approval of
    12  the Senate by a majority vote, appoint six managers to assist it
    13  in carrying out its responsibilities.
    14     * * *
    15     (o)  Reports.--The board shall, during January and July of
    16  each year, report to the General Assembly on its activities,
    17  including the performance of its managers, during the preceding
    18  six-month period.

     1     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
