SENATE BILL

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of July 10, 1981 (P.L.214, No.67), entitled "An
     2     act relating to the lawful conduct of bingo, prescribing
     3     penalties and making a repeal," providing for a licensing
     4     exception.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  The act of July 10, 1981 (P.L.214, No.67), known
     8  as the Bingo Law, is amended by adding a section to read:
     9  Section 3.1.  Licensing exception.
    10     Notwithstanding any other provision of this act to the
    11  contrary, an individual, group, partnership, association,
    12  company, corporation, municipality, municipal authority or
    13  political subdivision, whether or not the entity is organized as
    14  a nonprofit organization or is conducting charitable or civic
    15  purposes, that conducts at one location not more than ten games
    16  of bingo per month in which each game has a prize valued at less
    17  than $25 shall not be required to obtain a license under this
    18  act.


     1     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
