AN ACT
1 Amending the act of February 1, 1966 (1965 P.L.1656, No.581),
2 entitled "An act concerning boroughs, and revising, amending
3 and consolidating the law relating to boroughs," further
4 providing for the compensation of auditors.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1053 of the act of February 1, 1966 (1965
8 P.L.1656, No.581), known as The Borough Code, amended April 11,
9 1974 (P.L.255, No.64), is amended to read:
10 Section 1053. Compensation of Auditors.--Each auditor shall
11 receive [no less than fifteen dollars ($15) or more than] thirty
12 dollars ($30)[, as council may determine,] per day for each day
13 necessarily employed in the discharge of his duties, with a
14 minimum annual compensation, however, of six hundred dollars
15 ($600), to be paid by the borough. A day shall consist of not
16 less than five hours in the aggregate.
17 Section 2. This act shall apply to the current fiscal year
18 of all boroughs.
1 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
