AN ACT
1 Prohibiting the imposition of per capita taxes on certain
2 elderly and disabled persons.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Notwithstanding any statute to the contrary, no
6 school district or municipality may impose a per capita or
7 similar head tax upon persons 60 years of age or older or upon
8 persons who are receiving Social Security Disability Payments
9 from the Federal Government.
10 Section 2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith
11 are hereby repealed to the extent of the inconsistency.
12 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
