AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, SEPTEMBER 13, 1978
AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Justice for payment
2 of costs incurred in the Farview State Hospital trials.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $500,000 $100,000, or as much thereof <--
6 as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of
7 Justice for payment of the costs of THE ACTUAL EXPENSES AND <--
8 DEBTS INCURRED BY WAYNE COUNTY FOR the Farview State Hospital
9 trials.
10 Section 2. Statements of the cost of conducting the trials
11 shall be submitted with substantiating documents by the county
12 incurring the cost to the Department of Justice.
13 Section 3. One year after the trials and appeals therefrom,
14 any unencumbered or unexpended funds shall lapse.
15 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
