AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further prohibiting the use of certain hearing
3 impairment devices.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3314(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 3314. Prohibiting use of hearing impairment devices.
9 (a) General rule.--No driver shall operate a vehicle while
10 wearing or using [one or more] two-sided headphones, earphones
11 or any similar device which the department by regulation
12 determines would impair the ability of the driver to hear
13 traffic sounds.
