AN ACT
1 Prohibiting certain vehicles from traveling on a certain portion
2 of Legislative Route No. 169 in Bear Creek Township, Plains
3 Township and Wilkes-Barre Township, Luzerne County.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. No vehicle in excess of 21,000 pounds shall be
7 permitted on Legislative Route No. 169 between Interchange No.
8 36 of the Northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and
9 the City of Wilkes-Barre without written authorization of the
10 Secretary of Transportation.
11 Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this act
12 commits a summary offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be
13 sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $100.
14 Section 3. A conviction for the violation of this act shall
15 not be a bar to any prosecution for a violation of any section
16 of 75 Pa.C.S. (relating to vehicles).
17 Section 4. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
