AN ACT
1 Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled
2 "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth,
3 sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising,
4 consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto,"
5 providing that no elected county officer or county solicitor
6 shall at the same time hold any other elected county office.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 402, act of August 9,
10 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), known as "The County Code," amended June
11 19, 1963 (P.L.150, No.95), is amended to read:
12 Section 402. Incompatible Offices.--(a) No elected county
13 officer or county solicitor shall, at the same time, hold any
14 other elected county office, nor serve as a member of the
15 legislative body of any city, borough, town or township of any
16 class, nor as treasurer or tax collector of any city, borough,
17 incorporated town or township, nor as school director of any
18 school district, nor as a member of any board of health.

20 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
