                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
     2     Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the
     3     use of forfeited property or the proceeds of forfeited
     4     property.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 6801(h) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
     8  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     9  § 6801.  Loss of property rights to Commonwealth.

    11     (h)  Authorization to utilize property.--The district
    12  attorney and the Attorney General shall [utilize] cause equal
    13  amounts of forfeited property or proceeds thereof [for the
    14  purpose of enforcing] to be used for the following purposes:
    15         (1)  Enforcing the provisions of The Controlled
    16     Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.
    17         (2)  Rehabilitation efforts, including drug
    18     rehabilitation. All funds used for rehabilitation efforts

     1     shall be transferred to the county or the Commonwealth, as
     2     appropriate, for distribution.

     4     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
