        AS RE-REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON GAME AND FISHERIES, HOUSE OF
           REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, FEBRUARY 23, 1976

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225, No.316), entitled
     2     "An act concerning game and other wild birds and wild
     3     animals; and amending, revising, consolidating, and changing
     4     the law relating thereto," removing INCREASING the maximum     <--
     5     amount which may be expended annually by the commission for
     6     the payment of bear damage protection or bear damage claims.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 1304, act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225,
    10  No.316), known as "The Game Law," amended June 11, 1968
    11  (P.L.162, No.91), is amended to read:
    12     Section 1304.  Amount Available for Bear Damages.--[Not to     <--
    13  exceed [seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500)] TWENTY-     <--
    14  FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000) annually] Such amount of money    <--
    15  as shall be deemed necessary may be expended by the commission
    16  from the Game Fund for the payment of such bear damage
    17  protection, or bear damage claims, filed and adjusted in
    18  accordance with the provisions of this article.
    19     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
