AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for the seizure and impoundment of
3 vehicles of unlicensed, unregistered or uninsured drivers.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6313. Impoundment of vehicles.
9 The Pennsylvania State Police or any municipal police
10 department may seize and impound any motor vehicle which is not
11 properly registered or which is driven by an unlicensed person
12 or a person who does not have the insurance required under
13 Chapter 17 (relating to financial responsibility).
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
