AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 22, 2000 (P.L.307, No.28), entitled "An
2 act Providing for a hotel room rental tax in certain third
3 class counties," further providing for distribution of
4 collected hotel room rental tax.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 3(d)(1) of the act of June 22, 2000
8 (P.L.307, No.28), known as the Hotel Room Rental Tax Act, is
9 amended to read:

12 (d) Distribution.--Money received under subsection (c) and
13 interest accrued shall be distributed by the fiscal officer of
14 each county as follows:
15 (1) Each county shall within ten days of receipt
16 transmit 78.5% of the money collected in that county to the
17 regional tourist promotion agency, which serves more than one
18 county and which is designated by the governing body of the
1 county as of January 1, 2003, or which succeeds such regional
2 tourist promotion agency after it is decertified because of
3 malfeasance or fraud, to be eligible for grants from the
4 Department of Community and Economic Development pursuant to
5 the act of April 28, 1961 (P.L.111, No.50), known as the
6 Tourist Promotion Law.
