AN ACT 1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting posting signs on State 3 property IN CITIES OF THE FIRST CLASS; and establishing the <-- 4 Tree Vitalize Fund. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 8 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 9 § 6506. Posting signs on State property IN CITIES OF THE FIRST <-- 10 CLASS. 11 (a) Offense defined.--Whoever pastes, paints, brands or 12 stamps or in any manner whatsoever places upon or attaches to 13 State property IN CITIES OF THE FIRST CLASS any sign commits a <-- 14 summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay 15 a fine of $25 for each sign posted or placed in violation of 16 this section. 17 (b) Construction.--This section shall not be construed to
1 prevent the posting or placing of any notice required by law or 2 order of court, nor to prevent the posting or placing of any 3 notice particularly concerning or pertaining to premises upon 4 which the same is so posted or placed. 5 (c) Disposition of fines.--Notwithstanding any other 6 provision of law to the contrary, the court imposing and 7 collecting a fine under this section shall transfer the fine 8 thus collected to the State Treasurer for deposit in the Tree 9 Vitalize Fund, which is hereby established in the General Fund 10 as a special restricted receipts account. Moneys in the fund are 11 appropriated to the Department of Conservation and Natural 12 Resources solely for the purposes of the department's Tree 13 Vitalize Program. 14 (d) Definition.--As used in this section the term "sign" 15 means any written, printed or painted advertisement, bill, 16 notice, sticker, circular, placard, card, political 17 advertisement or poster. 18 Section 2.
