           O'DONNELL, RICHARDSON AND HARPER, APRIL 22, 1981

        AS AMENDED ON THIRD CONSIDERATION, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
        DECEMBER 16, 1981

                                     AN ACT

     1  Fixing the salary of the register of wills, district attorney,
     2     city commissioners, clerk of quarter sessions and the, AND     <--
     3     THE CITY CONTROLLER sheriff of Philadelphia and making
     4     repeals.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  The annual salary of the register of wills of
     8  Philadelphia shall be $35,000.
     9     Section 2.  The annual salary of the district attorney of
    10  Philadelphia shall be $42,000 $1,000 LESS THAN THE ANNUAL SALARY  <--
    11  OF A JUDGE OF THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS.
    12     Section 3.  The annual salaries of the city commissioners of
    13  Philadelphia shall be $35,000 for each commissioner.
    14     Section 4.  The annual salary of the sheriff of Philadelphia
    15  shall be $35,000.
    16     Section 5.  The annual salary of the clerk of quarter
    17  sessions shall be $35,000.

     1     SECTION 6.  THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE CITY CONTROLLER OF        <--
     2  PHILADELPHIA SHALL BE THE SAME AS THAT OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY
     3  OF PHILADELPHIA.
     4     Section 6 7.  (a)  The following acts or parts thereof are     <--
     5  hereby repealed.
     6     The act of June 12, 1923 (P.L.692, No.288), entitled, as
     7  amended, "An act fixing the salary of city commissioners of
     8  Philadelphia, formerly known as county commissioners in counties
     9  of the first class."
    10     Section 1, act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.312, No.123), entitled
    11  "An act fixing the salary of the district attorney of
    12  Philadelphia."
    13     (b)  All other acts or parts thereof which are inconsistent
    14  with the provisions hereof are repealed.
    15     Section 7 8.  This act shall take effect immediately.          <--
