AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act relating to counties of the second class
3 and second class A; amending, revising, consolidating and
4 changing the laws relating thereto," authorizing the purchase
5 of certain insurance against errors and omissions.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Article XXI, act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723,
9 No.230), known as the "Second Class County Code," is amended by
10 adding a subdivision to read:
11 ARTICLE XXI
12 Special Powers and Duties of the County
13 * * *
14 (x) Insurance Liability for Errors and Omissions
15 Section 2199.18. Insurance to Cover Errors, Etc.--The county
16 commissioners may provide insurance on every county officer and
17 employe for liability arising from errors and omissions in the
18 performance of their duties in the course of their employment.
