AN ACT 1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, providing for engineering districts; and making a 3 repeal. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 8 § 9106. Engineering districts. 9 (a) Organization.--The counties of this Commonwealth shall 10 be divided into engineering districts as follows: 11 (1) District one. Engineering district number one 12 consists of the following counties: Crawford, Erie, Forest, 13 Lawrence, Mercer, Venango and Warren. 14 (2) District two. Engineering district number two 15 consists of the following counties: Cameron, Centre, 16 Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin and 17 Potter. 18 (3) District three. 1 consists of the following counties: Bradford, Columbia, 2 Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Sullivan, Snyder, Tioga 3 and Union. 4 (4) District four. Engineering district number four 5 consists of the following counties: Lackawanna, Luzerne, 6 Pike, Wayne, Sullivan and Susquehanna. 7 (5) District five. Engineering district number five 8 consists of the following counties: Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, 9 Monroe, Northampton and Schuylkill. 10 (6) District six. Engineering district number six shall 11 consist of the following counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, 12 Montgomery and Philadelphia. 13 (7) District seven. Engineering district number seven is 14 reserved for future action. 15 (8) District eight. 16 (i) Engineering district number eight consists of 17 the following counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, 18 Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York. 19 (ii) Each county maintenance district within 20 engineering district number eight shall have an office 21 and its headquarters within the county served by the 22 maintenance district. 23 (9) District nine. Engineering district number nine 24 consists of the following counties: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, 25 Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset. 26 (10) District ten. Engineering district number ten 27 consists of the following counties: Armstrong, Butler, 28 Clarion, Indiana and Jefferson. 29 (11) District eleven. 1 (12) District twelve. Engineering district number twelve 2 consists of the following counties: Fayette, Greene, 3 Washington and Westmoreland. 4 (b) Management.--The Department of Transportation has the 5 power and duty to place in charge of each engineering district 6 as set forth in subsection (a) an individual as the Secretary of 7 Transportation deems advisable. The individual shall serve at 8 the pleasure of the secretary. The individual shall perform 9 duties in connection with the engineering district as the 10 secretary prescribes. 11 Section 2. Section 2004 of the act of April 9, 1929 12 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929, is 13 repealed. 14 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
