AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for the
3 recorded testimony of rape victims.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 42, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
7 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
8 amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 5920. Recorded testimony of rape victims.
10 The recorded testimony of a rape victim shall be competent
11 testimony at any preliminary hearing or trial in the case,
12 provided the victim is present and available for cross
13 examination.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
