AN ACT
1 Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled
2 "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth,
3 sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising,
4 consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto,"
5 authorizing appropriations for citizens band radio base
6 stations.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Article XIX, act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323,
10 No.130), known as "The County Code," is amended by adding a
11 subdivision to read:

15 (aa) Appropriations for Citizens Band Radio Base Stations
16 Section 1999 i. Appropriation for Citizens Band Radio Base
17 Station.--The board of commissioners of any county is authorized
18 to appropriate funds for the establishment of a county citizens
19 band radio base station for public service, nonprofit use. Not
1 more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) shall be appropriated
2 annually for radio equipment and not more than twelve hundred
3 dollars ($1,200) shall be appropriated annually for rental of
4 facilities to house the equipment in the event no space is
5 available in existing public buildings.
6 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
