                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 23, 1931 (P.L.932, No.317), entitled
     2     "An act relating to cities of the third class; and amending,
     3     revising and consolidating the law relating thereto,"
     4     authorizing the appropriation of funds for citizens band
     5     radio base stations.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Section 2403, act of June 23, 1931 (P.L.932,
     9  No.317), known as "The Third Class City Code," reenacted and
    10  amended June 28, 1951 (P.L.662, No.164), is amended by adding a
    11  clause to read:
    12     Section 2403.  Specific Powers.--In addition to other powers
    13  granted by this act, the council of each city shall have power,
    14  by ordinance:

    16     69.  Appropriation for Citizens Band Radio Base Station.--To
    17  appropriate funds for the establishment of a city citizens band
    18  radio base station for public service, nonprofit use. Not more
    19  than one thousand dollars ($1,000) shall be appropriated

     1  annually for radio equipment and not more than twelve hundred
     2  dollars ($1,200) shall be appropriated annually for rental of
     3  facilities to house the equipment in the event no space is
     4  available in existing public buildings.
     5     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
