AN ACT 1 Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, providing for retirement eligibility. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. Title 24 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 6 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 7 § 8314. Eligibility for unreduced early retirement. 8 Notwithstanding any provisions of this title to the contrary, 9 commencing on or after the effective date of this section, a 10 member who has credit for at least 30 eligibility points shall 11 be entitled, upon termination of service and filing of a proper 12 application, to receive a maximum single life annuity calculated
1 pursuant to section 8342 (relating to maximum single life 2 annuity) without any reduction by virtue of an effective date of 3 retirement which is under the superannuation age. 4 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately. B1L24JLW/20010H0562B0605 - 2 -
