A RESOLUTION
Designating the week of October 13 through 19, 2019, as "Credit
Union Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Credit unions are individual, independent financial
cooperatives founded by individuals working to achieve economic
advancement with individuals seeking to improve their financial
future; and
WHEREAS, This Commonwealth has more than 360 credit unions,
serving more than 4.2 million members in more than 950
locations; and
WHEREAS, Founded on the philosophy of "not for profit, not
for charity, but for service," credit unions maintain a focus on
service to their members; and
WHEREAS, Pooling personal resources and leadership abilities
for the good of the cooperative, credit unions provide low-cost
financial services to their members; and
WHEREAS, These institutions strive to educate their members
