A RESOLUTION

Recognizing the Firemen's Association of the State of

2

Pennsylvania for its many years of continuous service and on

3

the occasion of its 130th annual convention.

4

WHEREAS, The Firemen's Association of the State of

5

Pennsylvania was organized in 1880; and

6

WHEREAS, The object of the Firemen's Association of the State

7

of Pennsylvania is to improve fire service throughout the State,

8

to provide protection to disabled firefighters and to those

9

dependent upon them, through legislative action; and

10

WHEREAS, The organization strives to promote the best manner

11

and means for the fighting of fires and public fire safety

12

education, as well as the organization of fire companies and

fire departments in communities in need of such protection and

2

to encourage a fraternal friendship among firefighters; and

3

WHEREAS, King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company will be

4

hosting the Firemen's Association of the State of Pennsylvania's

5

130th annual convention from September 23 through 26, 2009, in

6

King of Prussia; therefore be it

7

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize and

8

congratulate the Firemen's Association of the State of

9

Pennsylvania for its outstanding, continuous service and on the

10

occasion of its 130th annual convention.
