AN ACT
1 Amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), entitled "An
2 act concerning townships of the second class; and amending,
3 revising, consolidating, and changing the law relating
4 thereto," requiring townships and authorities using private
5 roads for access to maintain the roads.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), known as
9 "The Second Class Township Code," reenacted and amended July 10,
10 1947 (P.L.1481, No.567), is amended by adding a section to read:
11 Section 1110.1. Access Over Private Road to Township or
12 Authority Facilities.--Whenever a township or an authority
13 created by the township uses a private road as the sole means of
14 access to a public facility of the township or authority, the
15 township shall maintain and repair the private road.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
